Author Journey

Although I've been teaching meditation and guiding others for over thirty years, becoming an author was never about writing a book - it was about telling the truth.

My journey began long before cancer. It began with life wounds, years of searching for love outside myself, and a lifelong meditation practice that slowly revealed a profound truth: the love we seek has always lived within us.

When leukemia nearly took my life, everything unnecessary fell away. Sitting beside death became my greatest teacher. During recovery, I realized these lessons weren't mine alone. I felt called to write - not as an expert with answers, but as a fellow traveler sharing the path home.

My writing process is deeply intuitive. I write after meditation, often in silence, allowing memories, insights, and experiences to arise naturally. Rather than forcing words, I wait until they feel true.

The "Why"

I wrote YOU Are Your Own Lost Love because so many people spend their lives believing they are incomplete.

We search for someone to rescue us, validate us, or finally make us feel worthy. I know that search intimately.

This book is an invitation to stop searching outside ourselves and begin remembering who we have always been.

If even one reader lays down the burden of believing they are "not enough," then writing this book has fulfilled its purpose.

Author Introduction

Susanne Landgrebe, MSN, ARNP, is a nurse practitioner, meditation teacher, yoga therapist, wellness coach, retreat leader, and lifelong student of contemplative practice. For more than three decades, she has helped people navigate healing by medicine with wellness, mindfulness, compassion, and the wisdom of the body's natural ability to heal itself.

Nature has been one of Susanne's greatest teachers. Whether wandering the quiet Iowa prairie or climbing Colorado's 14,000-foot peaks, she has long found the great outdoors to be a place of clarity, humility, and transformation. Nature's beauty, silence, and resilience have deeply shaped both her personal healing journey and the philosophy that guides her work.

After surviving acute lymphoblastic leukemia, multiple life-threatening complications, and several near-death experiences, Susanne's understanding of healing transformed from something we achieve to something we uncover. She now dedicates her work to helping others remember their inherent wholeness through meditation, self-compassion, conscious living, and a deeper connection with the wisdom of nature.

She is the founder of Prairie Healing and Prairie Retreats in Iowa.
